Frequently Asked Questions

Quick, honest answers about how Spinwheely works — the tools, the fairness, the ads, and how to get help.

About Spinwheely & the tools

What is Spinwheely?

Spinwheely is a free collection of random wheel spinners and picker tools — wheel of names, raffle wheel, yes-or-no wheel, dice roller, and more. You add your entries, hit spin, and get a random result you can show to an audience.

Do I need to sign up or install anything?

No. Every wheel runs in your browser without an account. Some optional features (saving wheels) require a free account, but the tools themselves work instantly with no signup.

Is Spinwheely really free?

Yes. All wheel and picker tools are free with no usage limits.

Can I use Spinwheely on mobile?

Yes. The site is fully responsive and works on iOS and Android browsers. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) from the install page for a native-app feel.

Fairness & how the spin works

Are the spins truly random?

Yes. Every entry on a wheel has equal probability regardless of how the wedge looks on screen, and the underlying draw uses the browser's Web Crypto API rather than a basic pseudo-random call. The wedge sizing is visual; the draw is statistically fair.

Can I rig or pre-select a winner?

No, and we deliberately do not offer that feature. The point of a public wheel is that the audience can see the spin happen — adding a backdoor would defeat the purpose. If you want a controlled outcome you should pick the winner manually instead.

How do I prove a giveaway draw was fair?

Screen-record the spin and post the recording with your winner announcement. The recording — not just the result screenshot — is what makes the draw verifiable to your audience.

Privacy, cookies & advertising

Does Spinwheely show ads?

Yes. Spinwheely is supported by display advertising. Ads are clearly labelled and appear in dedicated slots — they never replace tool functionality or block the wheel itself.

Do you use cookies for advertising?

Yes. Third-party advertising partners (including Google AdSense, when active) may set cookies on your device to serve ads, measure performance, and limit ad frequency. You can opt out of personalised advertising at https://www.google.com/settings/ads or via your browser's cookie controls. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

What data does Spinwheely itself collect?

The tools run locally — your wheel entries, spin results, and decisions never leave your browser. We collect anonymous, aggregated analytics (page views, country-level traffic) and, for logged-in users, only the data needed to operate your account.

Is Spinwheely safe for children to use?

The tools themselves are family-friendly and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because some pages display third-party advertising, parents should supervise younger children as they would on any ad-supported site.
