Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Spinwheely collects when you use the site, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers spinwheely.com and any subdomains we operate.

Spinwheely is a digital utility platform offering random generators and decision-making tools. It does not involve gambling, betting, or real-money gaming.

Who we are

Spinwheely (the “Service”, “we”, “us”) provides free random wheel spinners and picker tools at spinwheely.com. For privacy-related questions you can reach us through the contact form.

Information we collect

We try to collect the minimum needed to operate the Service:

  • Information you provide. If you create an account or contact support, we store your email address, any account preferences, and the contents of your message.
  • Wheel content stays local by default. The names, options, and results you put into a wheel are processed in your browser. We only store wheel data on our servers if you explicitly save or share a wheel while signed in.
  • Automatic technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, timestamps) are collected for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. These logs are rotated regularly.
  • Analytics. We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic (page views, country-level location, device type). Individual users are not profiled.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage items:

  • Strictly necessary. Session cookies for sign-in, CSRF protection, and basic site operation.
  • Functional / preferences. Local storage entries for theme (light/dark), wheel auto-save drafts, and saved settings.
  • Analytics. Anonymous identifiers used to estimate aggregate traffic.
  • Advertising. Our advertising partners (see below) may set their own cookies to serve and measure ads.

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will sign you out and may break parts of the Service.

Advertising

Spinwheely is supported by display advertising. We work with third-party advertising partners, including Google, to serve ads on the Service. These partners may:

  • Use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to deliver ads relevant to you
  • Collect information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit on Spinwheely, and the time of your visit
  • Use that information to measure ad performance, limit how often you see the same ad, and detect fraud

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Spinwheely and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or, for non-Google vendors, the aboutads.info choices page.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we present a consent prompt before non-essential advertising cookies are set, in line with the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework.

How we use your information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • To serve and measure advertising that funds the free tools
  • To comply with legal obligations

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of trusted vendors to run the Service. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

  • Hosting & backend: Cloud infrastructure providers that store your account data and serve the website.
  • Authentication & database: Supabase (auth, database, storage).
  • Advertising: Google AdSense and partner ad networks.
  • Analytics: Privacy-respecting aggregate analytics.

Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the help page.

Data retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for a short period after deletion to honour legal and accounting obligations. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. Saved wheels remain until you delete them.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page and reflected in the “Last updated” date. Continued use of Spinwheely after an update means you accept the revised policy.
