How Workout Picker Wheel works

4 simple steps — no signup, runs entirely in your browser.

  1. Add Workouts

Enter all the exercises you're considering.

  2. Spin the Wheel

Click to let fate decide your workout.

  3. Get Started

The wheel picks your next exercise.

  4. Crush It

Power through your randomly selected workout!

Try this example

Here's a quick example you can try right now in Workout Picker Wheel:

  • Push-ups
  • Squats
  • Burpees
  • Plank
  • Lunges
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Sit-ups

Paste those into the input above, hit spin, and you'll see how the tool picks one fairly at random.

A random workout generator for the days you'd otherwise skip

Most missed sessions aren't a motivation problem — they're a decision problem. You stand in the front room, scroll for a routine, dislike the first three, and twenty minutes later you've trained nothing. A random workout generator takes the choice off you entirely: spin, read the exercise, start. Spinwheely runs that on any phone with no app, no login and no programme to sign up to.

The wheel loads with eight bodyweight movements that need no equipment. Keep them, or clear the list and put in whatever your gym, garage or living room actually supports.

Generate the circuit before you start

Spinning between rounds sounds fun and works badly — you're breathing hard and every unwelcome result gets re-spun. Instead, spin five or six times up front with remove-after-spin enabled, note the order, then run it: 40 seconds on, 20 off, three rounds through. That's a genuine twenty-minute session generated in under a minute, and it's different every time you come back.

For an AMRAP, draw four exercises, assign ten reps each and set a twelve-minute timer. For a finisher, draw one and go until failure. The random exercise generator just supplies the movements; the structure is yours.

Load the wheel by body part or by kit

Randomness only helps inside sensible limits. If you train a split, build a wheel per day — push, pull, legs — so the spin varies the exercise without breaking the plan. If your constraint is equipment, build one wheel for dumbbell days and another for bodyweight-only days away from home, and load whichever matches where you are.

The honest reason a workout randomizer works: it makes you do the movements you avoid. Lunges and mountain climbers get skipped when you pick for yourself. They don't when the wheel picks.

Classes, PE lessons and training with friends

Put the wheel on a projector or a tablet propped on a bench and let someone else spin. Groups accept a random result far more easily than a coach's choice, and the spin itself buys you fifteen seconds of everyone looking at the same thing before the round starts.

How the pick is made

Each spin reads from crypto.getRandomValues() in your browser and the wheel is animated to land on that slice. Every exercise has equal odds, nothing is weighted behind the scenes, and your list never leaves your device. Getting squats twice in five spins is normal randomness, not a bug — turn on remove-after-spin if you'd rather it didn't happen.

Other Spinwheely wheels that pair with training

For rep counts and timer intervals, spin the random number wheel. For rest-day plans there's the activity picker wheel, for post-session meals the random food generator, and the main spin the wheel tool turns any list into a wheel. All free, all no signup.
